Emergency Community Support Fund at Work for PEI

December 11, 2020 news-nouvelles

In April 2020, the $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund was announced to help charities and non-profit organizations adapt their frontline services to better serve vulnerable Canadians during this pandemic.

Since its launch in May, over 7,000 charitable and non-profit projects across Canada have been supported. The funding has helped organizations to adapt their services to better reach and support vulnerable Canadians who are disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

ECSF has been critical to strengthening the capacity of community service organizations and is helping them to adapt frontline services to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable individuals and families affected by COVID-19. This opportunity to address the well-being and inclusion needs of our communities and our more vulnerable populations is a critical piece in providing the support and short-term relief needed in communities during the second wave of this pandemic.
